Two CSUans are TOSP Region 2 awardees -Ramon Joseph Dauag (CSU Andrews Campus) -Lovely Nieva (CSU Piat Campus) Both students, along with the other awardees shall be representing region 2 in the national TOSP bid book eliminations on August 2018. Meanwhile, Hajie Idmilao, BS HIM and former Governor of CSU Gonzaga was also one of the top 20 regional finalists.

CONGRATULATIONS to the CSU COMMUNICATOR (@csukomyu)

Komyu papers, articles adjudged best in the Philippines

BAGUIO CITY- Cagayan State University once again proved its excellence and quality in campus journalism as The CSU Communicator, official student publication of CSU-Andrews, was adjudged best in two different school paper competition categories in the Philippines.
For the third time now, The CSU Communicator was awarded Best in Newsletter Category and 2nd Best in Broadsheet Category in the recently concluded National Training on Campus Journalism and School Paper Competition initiated by the Organization of Student Services and Educators Inc. (OSSEI) and attended by 38 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) all over the country at Baguio City yesterday, September 23.

Komyu was followed by Negros Oriental State University and Nueva Vizcaya State University in 2nd and 3rd places respectively in the Best Newsletter Category while Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU)- Batangas was awarded 1st in Broadsheet category.

Aside from its newspaper publications, Komyu's online publication- The CSU Communicator facebook page was also awarded a certificate of special commendation by the judges for its real-time and complete updates and stories.

The judges described Komyu's online publication as "the best when it comes to variety of stories, up to date news, ease of access, student-oriented and initiated updates and huge audience reach."

The CSU Communicator published articles also garnered the following special recognition's:

1st place Best published Development Report- Evacuation Center to rise in Tuguegarao City by Julius Catulin
1st place Best published Community Report- Igat and its Story of Preservation by Marjory Garcia
2nd place Best published feature story- Regaining the true intentions of Social Media by Shannen Calimag
3rd place Best published News Report- Despite existing No Tuition Policy, CSUans to enjoy P41M on free tuition by Julius Catulin
3rd place Best published Editorial- The Urgency of Fixing CSU
3rd place Best in Front Page Layout (Broadsheet)
